How it works
On a $ 500,000 home the listing commission will be 1% ($5,000 in this example). Traditional agents with the big brokerages typically charge 3%. In this example, you'd save $ 10,000 by listing with EZdigs!
In virtually all real estate transactions, the seller pays both the listing & the buyer's agent commissions. The percentage offered to the buyer's agent is up to the seller. Typically the buyer’s agent will expect 3%.
So if the byer’s agent commission is set at 3%, the total commission would be 4% (1% EZdigs + 3% buyer’s agent).
We generally recommend offering the 3% to the buyer’s agents. Most seller’s offer a 3% commission to the buyer’s agent. Therefore, a seller who offers less puts themselves at a disadvantage in a competitive market.
